    Ned Arlan Wilson, 83, of Hot Springs Village passed away on November 4, 2014 at a local hospital. Ned was born July 3, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late H. Verle and Beula (Jones) Wilson. He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1949, and then graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1955. Ned served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Following a residency, he practiced pediatrics for 35 years in Marion, Indiana.

    Ned is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha (Harding) Wilson, children: Jana Wilson (Thomas Harris) of Bloomington, IN; Gregory Wilson of Midland, TX; and Todd Wilson (Taraneh) of Irvington, NY; six grandchildren: Sophie and Ryan Harris; Kevin, Molly and Ellen Wilson; and Hanna Wilson. Ned’s sister, Lynda Coridan (Gil) of Venice, FL:

    Ned and Martha retired in 1995 to Hot Springs Village, AR. While in Hot Springs Village, he served on a number of committees and was a member of several organizations, including: Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church, HSV Audubon Society, HSV Genealogy Club, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), Indiana Historical Society, Indiana Sons of the Pioneers, Acacia Fraternity, Indiana University.

    Ned loved family genealogy and began research on his family as a senior in high school. He continued his research throughout his life. He loved his family, his country and was passionate about preserving our natural resources.

    A memorial service will be held in Indianapolis, IN at a later date. Memorials can be made to Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church, groups devoted to Parkinson’s disease research, or a hospice care organizations or the charity of your choice.
